Iran-US Talks Start In Geneva

Tehran, Aug 7, IRNA – Representatives of Iran and the US started bilateral negotiations at deputy foreign ministerial level in Geneva on Thursday. Iranian deputy foreign ministers Majid Takht-e Ravanchi and Abbas Araqchi along with the US Under Secretary of State William Burns and State Department Director General for Political Affairs Wendy Sherman are leading the talks. Experts from both countries are also participating in the talks. Speaking to IRNA, a member of Iranˈs nuclear negotiating team said that the talks are aimed at continuing consultations on the disputed issues and studying ways to make viewpoints closer to each other./end
