Iran To Use Balloons To Control Its Border Areas

Tehran, Jan 29, IRNA – Deputy police commander Brigadier General Ahmad Reza Radan said Wednesday that in order to improve security in Iran’s border areas, the country is to use balloons to control security. Addressing a national conference on police performance, Radan added that the Iranian police gained necessary permissions to carry out aerial controlling operations in border areas with the use of balloons. He added that the bullet-proof balloons are equipped with surveillance cameras which could be monitored from police headquarter. The balloons can also be used to control the countryˈs road traffic, said the official./end
