Iran, Vietnam stress expansion of all-out ties

Tehran, Nov 22, IRNA - Senior Iranian and Vietnamese parliamentarians in a meeting on Friday stressed expansion of all-out ties. Member of the Presiding Board of the Iranian Parliament (Majlis) Hassan Sobhani-Nai and Vietnam's National Assembly Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son emphasized that development of ties between the two parliaments will prepare the ground for enhancing all out ties. They called Iran-Vietnam relations as historical and called for boosting bilateral ties in all fields including economy. In early September and in a meeting with Vietnam’s new ambassador to Tehran, Iranian President Hassan Rouhani hailed common stances adopted by Iran and Vietnam in the international arenas and called for continued cooperation between the two countries. Vietnam and Iran established diplomatic relations on August 4, 1973./end
