Iran VP Attends Ecuador President Oath-taking Ceremony

Madrid, May 25, IRNA – Iranˈs Vice-President for International Affairs Ali Saeedlou attended the oath taking ceremony of Ecuador president Rafael Correa on Friday . Upon his arrival in Quito airport, Saeedlo underlined necessity for strengthening friendly ties between the two countries. Rafael Correa, was sworn into office for an unprecedented third term in the capital, Quito. Correa, 50, was re-elected in February with three times the votes of his closest challenger. Under the constitution, he cannot run again. Leaders and senior officials of several world countries attended the inauguration ceremony of the Ecuador president./end
