Iran VP: Syria Will Win War Against Terrorists

Tehran, Sept 26, IRNA – First Vice-President called Syria an old and reliable friend for Iran and said that, undoubtedly, Syria will win the war against terrorists. According to the report of Presidential Office website, Mohammad Reza Rahimi in a meeting with Syrian Parliament Head of National Security Committee Muhammad Subhi Abul-Shamat here on Tuesday evening said that all world powers supported Saddam Hussein to defeat Iran, but they did not succeed and now the same enemies are trying to hit Syria, but, undoubtedly, Syria will be the winner. Rahimi called the Zionists enemies of humanity and added that they clearly show enmity to all divine religions and, by the recent insult to Prophet Mohammad of Islam, they assumed that they could create war and hostility and disunity among religions, but they do not know that Muslims love and respect all prophets and their followers. Abul-Shamat, for his part, said that the two countries are fighting with hegemonic powers, adding that Syria is confident that enemies cannot reach their goals. He said his meetings with Iranian officials were constructive and appreciated Iran’s constant support for Syria./end
