Iran VP for women affairs in Istanbul for OIC Women Conference

Ankara, Nov 1, IRNA – Iran's Vice-President for Women and Family Affairs Shahindokht Molaverdi is to attend the sixth session of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation's (OIC) Women Conference in Turkey. Molaverdi arrived in the Turkish city of Istanbul late on Monday to attend the OIC women conference that is slated for November 1-3. Ministers of 56 member countries of the OIC will attend the Tuesday meeting in Istanbul which will start by the Turkish President Tayyip Erdogan's address. Also, top representatives from different international bodies which are active in the area of women will take part in the meeting. OIC secretary general Iyad Ameen Madani was to address the Istanbul meeting, but he resigned on October 31 due to the reasons he declared as health issue. 1378/IRNA
