Iran Will Not Accept Preconditions Ahead Of G5+1 Nuclear talks

Tehran, April 10, IRNA -- Iran said Monday that it will not accept any preconditions ahead of the nuclear talks with Group 5+1. Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi said that setting conditions prior to the negotiations is tantamount to reaching conclusion in advance. 'Setting preconditions ahead of the negotiations is meaningless and no parties will agree to such an approach.' He said that each negotiating party has its own views but they should come to terms and reach a common ground. “We hope to step forward in the upcoming meeting,” Salehi said. “We hope the G5+1 to be sincere as the same as the Islamic Republic of Iran and the two sides should work to get a win-win outcome. Respect for Iran’s legitimate rights and help remove the concerns of the G5+1,” Salehi said./end
