Iran would prepare ‘due response’ in line with intensity of threats

TEHRAN, Nov. 07 (MNA) – Iran’s defense minister has told a joint meeting with Foreign Ministry active diplomacy is a component of ‘national sovereignty.’ Brig. Gen. Hossein Dehghan addressed a meeting of heads of Iran’s foreign delegations on Wednesday, where he said that accurate insights to the nature of the enemies and resistance had been keys to success in political, defensive, and security arenas; “active diplomacy, along with complementary role of foreign policy improves the security depth and deterrence power of the Islamic Republic; realization of a sustainable security for the region and a world free of violence reminds us of fusing domestic capabilities and capacities into a coherent whole in a jihadi approach and Resistance Economic framework to seek advancement of the country,” he told the meeting. “Leader’s sagacious remarks, along with government’s all-out domestic and foreign measures have bestowed a place for the Islamic Republic of Iran well-fitting the country, to create a power the imperialist and its vassals see it as a great and insurmountable barrier in the way of their expansionist policies,” Dehghan asserted. “The advancements within past two years in the military makes Iran capable enough to prepare responses well in line with intensity of the threats to immediately tackle the threat or limit its scope,” said the defense minister. “Deepening defensive cooperation with neighbors is a top priority of defense machinery; Iran’s foreign delegations have an important role to play in target countries, for which we really appreciate Foreign Ministry’s good offices,” Dehghan concluded.
