Iranian ambassador discusses Syria with Lebanese PM

TEHRAN,Dec.29(MNA)--Iranian Ambassador to Beirut Ghazanfar Roknabadi and Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati held talks on Syria on Friday. Roknabadi explained in detail the provisions of Iran’s six-point proposal on Syria and said that the Syrian crisis must be settled politically. Mikati described the Iranian proposal as a comprehensive and impeccable one which, should implemented, will bring significant and positive changes. The ambassador and the prime minister also emphasized the need to implement the agreements signed between Iran and Lebanon. In addition, Roknabadi submitted the message of Iran’s First Vice President Mohammad Reza Rahimi to the Lebanese prime minister in which Rahimi had congratulated Lebanon on the birth of Jesus Christ and the New Year.
