Iranian Delegation Departs For Al-Quds Meet In Morocco

Tehran, Jan 18, IRNA – An Iranian delegation to be headed by Tehran's ambassador to Rabat will take part in the upcoming meeting of the Al-Quds Committee of the Organization of the Islamic Cooperation (OIC) in Morocco, a senior Iranian diplomat said. The Moroccan foreign minister had previously invited Iran to take part in the meeting, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab and African Affairs Hossein Amir Abdollahian said, adding, In response to this invitation, Iran's delegation has departed for Morocco. He pointed to Iran's strategy and Rouhani's approach, and said that Tehran supports consolidation of ties with all Arab countries, including the friendly and brotherly country of Morocco. The 20th Meeting of Al-Quds Committee kicked off on Thursday at the presence of Palestinian Authority President Mahmoud Abbas and foreign ministers of the committees member-states and OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu in the Moroccan capital Rabat./end
