Iranian diplomat advises 5+1 group not to lose time

TEHRAN,Oct.9(MNA) – Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi said that the time is ripe for holding talks between the Islamic Republic and the six major powers, but the powers should make their decision as soon as possible and do not lose time and opportunity. Araqchi said that now the 5+1 group (five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany) should make a decision on Iran’s proposals. Pointing to oil sanctions imposed on Iran, he said that oil is a valuable commodity and many countries in the world, particularly Asian countries, buy Iran’s oil. He added that oil is not a commodity that Iran cannot sell. Elsewhere in his remarks, Araqchi said that Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi plans to pay a visit to Myanmar in the near future.
