Iranian dubbing director of 1980s nostalgic animations Qat’eii dies

TEHRAN,Jan.10(MNA)-- The dubbing director of nostalgic animations for Iranian children of the 1980s Amir-Hushang Qat’eii died of natural causes on Sunday morning. He was 83. He was the dubbing manager of the Japanese animated television series “Belfy and Lilibit” (1980) and the American animation “The Great Grape Ape Show” (1975). Born in Tehran, he began his career in 1958 and five years later he became the dubbing manager for several films and animations. He was also the dubbing manager of other 1980s popular animations including “Seton Animal Chronicles: Banner the Squirrel” and “Wandering Girl Nell”. Previously he talked about selecting dubbers for the Great Grape Ape (voiced by Sadegh Maher) and Beegle Beagle (voiced by Asghar Afzali) saying that they were among the best comedians in the dubbing field.
