Iranian FM says Iran not worried about revealing content of Geneva talks

TEHRAN,Oct.19(MNA) – Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said that Iran is not concerned about the revelation of the details of the Geneva talks over Tehran’s nuclear program. “We have agreed to keep the discussions confidential. However, I assure you it does not mean that we are concerned about the public announcement of what were discussed during the talks,” Zarif wrote on his Facebook page on Friday. Iran and world powers (the five permanent members of the UN Security Council plus Germany, known as the 5+1 group) held negotiations over Tehran’s nuclear program in Geneva on Tuesday and Wednesday. The top diplomat said the confidentiality of the ongoing negotiations is a normal issue, adding usually content of negotiations are aired in which negotiating partners have no hope in success of talks and revelations are usually made with aim of putting pressure on each other. On Tuesday morning, when negotiations started between Iran and the 5+1 group, Zarif presented the Iranian proposal in PowerPoint format entitled "Closing Unnecessary Crisis, Opening New Horizons". The minister said all the things that have been quoted in some Western media about the Iranian proposal are just “speculations”.
