Iranian FM writes to UN chief over reported use of chemical weapons by Syrian rebels

TEHRAN,April 6(MNA) – In a letter addressed to United Nations Secretary General Ban Ki-moon, which was released on March 26, Iranian Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi condemned the reported use of chemical weapons by rebels in Syria on March 19 and called on the UN to take the measures necessary to prevent similar incidents. In his letter, Salehi wrote, “Resort to threat of the use or use of chemical weapons by governments or rebel groups” are unacceptable and should be condemned.
