Iranian Head of Assembly of Experts dies at 83

TEHRAN, Oct. 22 (MNA) – Ayatollah Mahdavi Kani died yesterday morning in hospital after months of being into coma. The office of head of Assembly of Expert announced in a statement Ayatollah Mohammad Reza Mahdavi Kani died on Tuesday morning. Ayatollah Mahdavi has been hospitalized since June 04, 2014 after suffering a heart attack which brought him into coma. He has died at the age of 83 after decades of serving the Islamic Republic of Iran in different positions.
