Iranian MP hails Majlis decision to delay impeaching minister

TEHRAN,July 9(MNA) – In a commentary on the Iran newspaper on Tuesday, MP Mohammadreza Tabesh noted that the parliament’s decision to delay the impeachment of the science minister will increase cohesion between reformist, moderate, and sensible conservative representatives. It is not the first time that senior and prudent representatives have reined in extremist acts of a number of MPs for the benefit of public interest, Tabesh said. With the mediation of Majlis Speaker Ali Larijani on Monday, the impeachment session of Reza Faraji Dana was postponed until next month. Cancelling the scholarship of some PhD students, returning students who have black marks on their records to universities, and the mechanism to appoint chancellor of universities are the reasons for MPs’ decision to impeach the minister.
