Iranian Revolution, Role Model For Arab World: Palestinian Analyst

Berlin, Feb 12, IRNA -- The achievements of Iranˈs Islamic Revolution should serve as a role model for the Arab world, according to a Germany-based Palestinian analyst. Speaking to IRNA on the 35th anniversary of victory of the Islamic Revolution, the head of the Society for Humanitarian Support of Palestinians (GHUP), Izzeddin Musa said triumph of the 1979 Islamic Revolution should be a major source of inspiration to the Arab people. Iranˈs revolution had a clear view and idea and today Iran has reached its goals, Musa said. Today Iran is not only a peaceful regional but also global power and everybody has to understand that, including the West. There can be no peace and stability in the Middle East without Iran, he added. Musa pointed out that although Iran has repeatedly faced threats by its enemies over the past three decades, it has maintained good and peaceful relations in the region. He highlighted the fact that Iran hasnˈt attacked any country in over 200 years even though it has been confronted with military aggression by other countries. The Palestinian scholar hailed the Islamic Republic for insisting on its rights, notably its right to have a peaceful nuclear program./end
