Iranian-Russian FMs Confer

United Nations, New York, Sept 25, IRNA – Foreign Minister of Iran Mohammad Javad Zarif and his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov discussed the latest international and regional developments particularly the critical situation in Syria here on Tuesday evening. Both ministers also expressed satisfaction over fruitful efforts aimed at preventing war in Syria and called for seeking political ways to settle the Syrian crisis. Zarif stressed that the use of chemical weapons anywhere and by anyone across the globe is condemned. Both the foreign ministers also discussed the ways for enhancing mutual ties in the fields of oil, gas, electricity, industry and machinery as well as fostering cooperation among the Caspian sea littoral states./end
