Iranian, Venezuelan Delegations Stress Development Of Ties

Caracas, Jan 10, IRNA – Visiting Iranian delegation and Venezuelan officials emphasized on expansion of ties between the two countries in their meeting on Monday. The Iranian delegation focused on bilateral relations as well as the latest regional and international developments with Venezuelan delegation at Caracas that county's Presidential Palace. The Iranian delegation is headed by President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad and includes Foreign minister Ali Akbar Salehi, Minister of Economy and Finance Seyyed Shamsedin Hosseini, Industries, Mines and Commerce Minister Mehdi Ghazanfari and Energy Minister Majid Namjou. The Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez said on the sideline of Iranian president's welcoming ceremony that “Imperialist powers have failed to achieve their goal to dominate the world. The Visiting Iranian president for his part stated that the hegemonic system is in the final moments of its life. President Ahmadinejad also in a meeting with the Iranian economic activists in Venezuela emphasized on expansion of relations between Caracas and Tehran in various fields, including economy. “Activating Venezuela-Iran economic potentials is in the interest of the two countries,” Ahmadinejad added. Venezuelan President welcomed the visiting Iranian president at his the Presidential Palace on Monday./end
