Iranians Back Islamic Govˈt, Negotiating Team: Jalili

Tehran, Nov 5, IRNA – The Iranian nation unanimously supports the Islamic establishment, government and the nuclear negotiating team, former top nuclear negotiator Saeed Jalili said on Monday. Addressing the demonstrators at the National Day to Fight Global Arrogance (Aban 13), Jalili said despite the existence of various political tastes in Iran, the nation supports the country’s negotiating team enabling them to defend the people’s rights and values properly. Aban 13 (November 4) marks anniversary of the takeover of the US embassy in Tehran by the Iranian students in 1980, exile of the Late Founder of the Islamic Republic the late Imam Khomeini in 1964 as well as the ruthless massacre of school students in Tehran by the Pahlavi regime in 1978. Addressing the demonstrators in Tehran, Jalili said, “The ultimate goal of the enemy is to change Iranians fight against global arrogance into an internal struggle in order to damage people’s anti-arrogance spirit.” Jalili, also representative of Ayatollah Khamenei to the Supreme National Security Council (SNSC), stressed that Iranians would never allow enemy to damage their unity which is a symbol of their fight against global arrogance and hostile policies of the US.” He said during the past three decades US has been attempting to undermine the Islamic Republic and force it to change its behavior. “The current struggle is not between Iran and the US but is between two schools of thought,” Jalili said recalling a statement by the Father of the Islamic Revolution the late Imam Khomeini. He stressed that the anti-US slogans chanted by Iranians does not refer to the American nation but it refers to few people who support oppressive approach towards the world even the US itself./end
