Iranians Mark Persian Gulf Day

Tehran, May 1, IRNA - Presidential Office in a statement on Sunday announced that Iranians have proudly marked the Persian Gulf Day. The statement said Persian Gulf is a symbol of peace and friendship for Iranians and therefore they proudly safeguard the name of the Persian Gulf. The statement read commemorating the Persian Gulf Day in fact is an introduction of great Iranian civilization and culture and its brave people to the world. “April 29 is not merely a symbol of the exit of foreign aggressors from the motherland, but also a day for Iranians' courageous act of expelling the aggressors who had targeted Iran’s cultural identity and territorial integrity,' the statement added. Presidential Office said the global arrogance has always been plotting to change the name of the strategic Persian Gulf and make the region insecure, but finally Iranians have vigilantly and proudly nullified the plots./end
