Iranians will not forget U.S. hostility : Iranian FM official

TEHRAN, Jan.4 (MNA) – In reply to a question about the fact that U.S. President Barack Obama signed into law a defense funding bill that imposes sanctions on financial institutions dealing with Iran’s central bank on December 31, 2011, Iran`s Foreign Ministry spokesperson Ramin Mehmanparast said, “The United States’ hostile actions against the Islamic Republic of Iran will not be erased from the memory of the Iranian people.” “The measure taken by U.S. officials which is meant to exert pressure on our nation will have no effect on the resolve of our great nation to achieve their goals and fundamental rights,” he stated. He added, “However, we did not have any special banking dealings and trade interactions with the United States,” and the measure was meant to exert political pressure on Tehran. “These measures mostly show our country’s progress,” Mehmanparast stated.
