Iran's 1st VP Congratulates New Ethiopian PM On Election

Tehran, Oct 18, IRNA -- Iran's 1st VP Mohammad Reza Rahimi in a message on Wednesday congratulated New Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopian Prime Minister Hailemariam Desalegn on his election. He congratulated Desalegn over his election by Ethiopian National Parliament. Rahimi expressed hope that Iran and Ethiopian cooperation would be further expanded in the new period on mutual interests. He prayed to Almighty God for well-being and good luck of the prime minister and prosperity and success for the Ethiopian government and nation. Desalegn served as deputy of ex-premier Meles Zenawi who died on August 20, at the age of 57, of a sudden infection./end
