Iran`s Aref promises to give a greater role to women in his government

TEHRAN,June 10(MNA) – Pro-reform candidate Mohammad Reza Aref said that if elected president, women will be given greater role in his administration. It is sad that women are suffering more poverty and social insecurity than men, Aref said in a radio broadcast on Saturday. The former first vice president under Mohammad Khatami also criticized the two-digit inflation rate in the country, adding, “If the high inflation is not curbed, it can lead to the collapse of the society.” “During the reform period we proved successful in curbing the inflation and we can do that again,” he added.
