Iran`s Boroujerdi: US fosters, supports ISIL

TEHRAN, Sept.2 (MNA) – The Head of Parliament National Security and Foreign Policy Commission says the US fostered the ISIL and certainly supports it. Alaeddin Boroujerdi, who was addressing a meeting of students in closing session of 11th Congress of Students Associations in Bahonar student camp, said that “we should take a look to the past to keep our place in the region and international politics.” Boroujerdi said that Iran was in a better place after the 8 years of war compared to Iran’s place before war. “In 2006, the US decided on an ultimate solution to disarm Hezbollah, which is truly a foster child of the Islamic Revolution. Ms. Rice had predicted that in an ensuing war in Lebanon, Hezbollah would be destroyed,” Boroujerdi added. “Since then, in 33-day war, they targeted only Shia communities in Lebanon, leaving Sunni and Christian communities unscathed,” he asserted. Boroujerdi believed that Islamic Republic of Iran had a flawless record in 33-day war between Israel and Hezbollah of Lebanon, and that the US record was dyed in black. He quoted the Leader of the Islamic Republic who said that Iran would support any country or group confronting the Zionists, “sparing no help to the party fighting Israel.” On recent surge of Takfirist recruitments from EU and US Muslims who fight for ISIL terrorist group in Iraq, Boroujerdi said that the EU and US feared that one day, these criminals would return their home countries. “The US pursues its own national interests and would not care for the lives of others. In Syria, despite the crimes committed by ISIL, the US preferred silence; however, when their interests are at stake, they come to the scene to fight ISIL,” he said.
