Iran's Election As GECF Head To Invigorate Its Position

Tehran, Dec 1, IRNA – Managing Director of National Iranian Gas Export Company (NIGC) Mohammad-Hossein Kameli said on Saturday that Iran will promote its among gas exporting countries in the wake of its election as secretary general of the Gas Exporting Countries Forum (GECF). Talking to the GECF Secretary General Mohammad-Hossein Adeli in Tehran on Saturday, Kameli hoped that Adeli’s election to the post will encourage cooperation among the GECF members. Kameli briefed Adeli on Irans gas exporting projects, including pipelines and LNG, and the NIGC strategy for presence in the regional and international markets. Adeli, for his part, said given high professional capabilities of its experts, the NIGC is expected to conduct comprehensive studies on world gas market with regards to entry of new suppliers to the market, while surveying the pricing mechanisms on regional and international markets and its impact on future of gas markets. He thanked the NIGC directors and experts for their endeavors, calling for better relationship between NIGC and GECF experts./end
