Iran's Nuclear Capabilities, Imperishable - Jalili

Beirut, Aug 7, IRNA – Secretary of the Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili said Monday evening that Iran's nuclear capabilities could not be annihilated. Jalili made the remarks while he was attending a ceremony in the Iranian Embassy in the Lebanese capital Monday evening to commemorate the Iranian Journalist's Day which is celebrated on August 7. The Iranian official was in Lebanon on an official visit which ended on Tuesday. He is presently on a day-long visit to Syria. Over 300 Lebanese media activists were present in the ceremony. Enemies are still pursuing the old-fashioned colonial policy of 'divide and rule' in the region, Jalili said criticizing enemies' efforts to damage unity among Muslim states. He said that Lebanon was the pioneer of the Islamic Awakening movement in the region. Referring to the big power's attitute towards Iran's peaceful nuclear program, Jaili said, certain states have repeatedly declared they did not have any problem with the nuclear Iran but with its support for the Islamic Resistance./end
