Iran's VP Leaves Bishkek For Tehran

Bishkek, Dec 6, IRNA – Iran's 1st Vice-President Mohammad Reza Rahimi who was in Bishkek to attend the 11th meeting of Prime Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) returned home late Wednesday. During his two-day visit, Rahimi held talks with Kyrgyz Prime Minister Zhantoro Satybaldiyev and President Kurmanbek Bakiyev. Rahimi received on Wednesday an honorary doctorate degree from chancellor of Kyrgyzstan's Yusuf Balasagun University. Yusuf Balasagun University in Bishkek is the oldest and most important university in Kyrgyzstan which was established 80 years ago. The 11th meeting of Prime Ministers of Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states opened in Bishkek on Wednesday. The objective of this annual meeting was to negotiate economic and trade affairs as well as counter narcotics and counter-terrorism measures. The first VP arrived in Bishkek on Tuesday morning to attend the 11th SCO meeting. Minister of Industry, Mine and Trade Mehdi Ghazanfari was accompanying the VP in his two-day visit./end
