Iran,Turkey FMs Consult On Regional Developments

Tehran, July 13, IRNA – Foreign Minister Ali Akbar Salehi, who is in Ankara to discuss important regional issues, met with his Turkish counterpart Ahmet Davutoglu on Friday. According to the Foreign Ministry Media Department, Salehi evaluated relations between the two countries ˈdevelopingˈ and underlined necessity of promotion of cooperation in different fields. Salehi, by expounding on Iran’s views on current developments in the region, especially Syria, said Iran’s principled stance is respecting peopleˈs demands in the countries of the region. Concerning recent developments in Egypt, Salehi underlined that Egyptiansˈ decision should be respected by others and that the process of democracy had started in the country and it should be consolidated day by day. In the meeting, Turkeyˈs Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu, called mutual relations very important and underlined importance of using all bilateral capacities in this concern. He also explained his country’s viewpoints on developments in the region, especially Syrian and Egyptian issues./end
