Iraq Calls For Sharing Experience With Iran To Uphold Social Security

Tehran, June 18, IRNA – The Iraqi head of Social Security Organization on Tuesday called for sharing Iranˈs experience to promote social security in the country. In a meeting with his Iranian counterpart, Taqi Nourbakhsh, he said that social security has a long record in Iran and the country boasts of valuable experience in the field. He hoped that mutual cooperation in the field of social security would help the Iraqi government to develop social security for the Iraqi population. Referring to Iraqˈs needs in the domains of social security and medical and health services, he added that using Iranˈs experience in the field will benefit his country. Nourbakhsh, for his part, welcomed cooperation in line with promoting the Iraqi social security and accepted the Iraqi invitation of an Iranian social security team to visit Iraq in a bid to explore the ways to develop social security and health services for the Iraqi population. Iranˈs Social Security Organization is ready to make its experience available to Iraq in different fields of insurance, medical treatment and healthcare and investment. The meeting was held on the sidelines of annual meeting of International Labor Organization in Geneva./end
