Iraq Crisis Was Not On Agenda Of Iran-US Talks: FM

Vienna, June 17, IRNA - Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said on Tuesday that Iraqi crisis was not on agenda of negotiations with the US or the European representatives, but, a short notice was made to the humanitarian crisis in Iraq. Talking to IRNA, foreign minister added that he had only discussed nuclear issue with the EU Foreign Affairs Chief Catherine Ashton and US Deputy Secretary of State William Burns. He said that in light of the current humanitarian plight in Iraq, in the meeting with Asthon as well as the trilateral meeting in presence of Burns, we held short conversations in reference to the barbaric practices carried by the Daesh terror group in Mosul, Tikrit and Tel Afar. Representatives of Iran, EU, and US held trilateral intensive talks for three hours on Monday focusing on the coral issues as well as drafting Comprehensive Agreement on the nuclear dispute./end
