Iraqi Envoy Rejects Alleged Death Of President Talabani, Says He Is In Stable Condition

Tehran, Dec 19, IRNA – Iraq Ambassador to Tehran Mohammad Majid al-Sheikh on Tuesday dismissed alleged death of Iraq President Jalal Talabani. "His medical condition is stable; no deterioration has occurred in his condition," said al-Sheikh. Talabani has suffered a stroke and was rushed to a hospital in Baghdad on Monday night, Iraqi officials said. Talabani was in intensive care unit after the stroke, said Kurdish Lawmaker Mahmoud Othman. Meanwhile, representative of Iraqi Patriotic Union of Kurdistan Nazem Dabbagh in an interview with IRNA ruled out alleged death of President Talabani. Talabani is also PUK leader./end
