Iraqi FM Lauds Iran's Support For Iraq

Baghdad, Oct 28, IRNA – Iraqi Foreign Minister Ibrahim al-Jaafari said on Monday that the Iraqi government appreciates Iran's support for the Iraqi national sovereignty and territorial integrity. Speaking to IRNA, al-Jaafari said that the Iraqi government is thankful about Iran's sincere support for Iraqi nation in the face of terror attacks of Daesh and occupation of Mosul and certain northern and western regions of Iraq. He acknowledged the friendly and brotherly relations between the Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq. He said Iran and Iraq are so close and tightly connected and Tehran's support for Iraqi nation is praiseworthy. "Relations between the two countries are deeply-rooted, strong and strategic and no minor difference can create an obstacle on the way of the cordial ties."/end
