Iraqi MP Hails Iran For Convening Inter-parliamentary Union Of Islamic Nations

Tehran, Feb 17, IRNA – Member of Iraqi parliament, Asma Moussavi said on Sunday that the 9th Session of Inter-Parliamentary Union of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation underway in Tehran is a strong point for Muslim countries. Moussavi told IRNA that the participants in the conference should use the opportunity available for economic, political and security economic cooperation and mobilize collective efforts to implement the resolutions passed by the prestigious conference. Referring to growing terrorist menace in Iraq, she said, ˈWe want the menace of terrorism to be uprooted in Iraq, and the entire world.ˈ ˈIraq is victim of terrorism. We have in the Conferenceˈs Executive Committee raised the proposal to the member states to expedite enforcement of the law on punishing terrorists and Takfiris.ˈ She urged unity among Muslim states to eradicate the menace of terrorism in the Muslim countries. Confirming Iranˈs nuclear rights, the Iraqi parliamentarian said, ˈI am surprised that Israel, which is the common enemies of Muslim countries, should have more than 100 nuclear warheads, while Islamic Iran not to have even the right for peaceful use of nuclear energyˈ/end
