TEHRAN, Oct. 18 (MNA) – Iraqi Prime Minister Heidar al-Ebadi will head a high-ranking delegation to Tehran on October 20 to meet with Iranian officials. The two-day visit will be held in Tehran on October 20 to expand political and economic ties within the framework of bilateral relations. In addition to exploring bilateral political relations and regional and international issues, economic issues have been also scheduled to be discussed during this meeting; thus, a group of Iraqi ministers related to economic issues will also accompany Heidar al-Ebadi on this trip. Heidar al-Ebadi, who was designated as Prime Minister by President Fouad Massoum in August 2014 to succeed Nouri al-Maliki, had previously met with President Rouhani on the sidelines of the annual meeting of the UN General Assembly in New York.
