IRGC Commander: Aggressors Will Be Responsible For Hormuz Strait Instability

Tehran, Feb 21, IRNA -- Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC) Major General Mohammad Ali Jafari said Monday that aggressive countries will be responsible for probable instability of the Hormuz Strait, south of Iran. “Iranian forces patrol the Hormuz Strait,” said the commander on the sidelines of a military drill launched by IRGC ground forces code-named “Valfajr” in centeral Iran. The military drill aims to demonstrate the combat readiness of Iranian forces in a probable confrontation with enemies, added Jafari. On the Valfajr maneuver, the IRGC commander said it just shows a small part of the greater capabilities of the Iranian forces. The enemy is not able to violate the Iranian soil, Jafari said, reiterating that the Valfajr military exercise demonstrates Iran’s readiness to ensure regional peace and stability./end
