IRGC Commander Stresses Iran’s Readiness To Confront Enemies

Tehran, Aug 23, IRNA – Lieutenant Commander of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Brigadier General Hossein Salami underlined the IRGC’s preparedness to repel and thwart the enemies’ threats in different spheres. “We have the capacity of bringing to a halt the enemies’ threats in all fields in the future,” Brigadier General Salami said. “We have achieved the capability of attacking the enemy’s strategies tactically and unlike enemy who is uncertain about future we are very sure about future,” he added. “We tried to overcome the enemies’ threats in the past years through completely unequal costs and today we have reached the level of producing power and relentlessness in producing might because we have indigenized that,” Brigadier General Salami said. The IRGC lieutenant commander stressed that scientific power guarantees strength and power in all other fields. “We are in a global war and the enemy is working relentlessly in implementing its strategy against this nation and government even at a time when it is being defeated it creates a new strategy and they are principally after enforcing their threats at a global level,” Brigadier General Salami said. He noted that the enemy does not quit its animosity against us unless we quit our religion which is not possible and the struggle and rivalry is between the two sides over the impact and penetration fields. “Our confrontation is not merely tactical, accidental and transitional but it is encounter between two domineering models of thought in the world which has been defined from the minds to the practical scene,” Brigadier General Salami reiterated. “In fact our entanglement with the enemy today is over reducing or increasing the scope and domain of penetration and impact, because when two big powers determine the scope of interests there emerges the point of confrontation and in the next step they pursue preventing our growth and deterrence power, but with all this we have responded to all crises, conflicts and challenges and we have freedom of action,” he added. “The enemy has plotted three strategies for us which is entangling us in conflict in such a way as to prevent our freedom of action and create problems for us everywhere and in all dimensions from cultural onslaught to psychological war, military threat, sanctions and so on,” Brigadier General Salami said. He underlined that it is impossible that the enemy would interact with us in a rational manner, adding, “They want to harness us and reduce the scope of Iran’s penetration in the region and do not allow Iran’s policies to be used in Syria and the regional and Muslim countries./end
