IRGC Navy Responsible To Maintain Security Of PG, Hormuz Strait

Tehran, Aug 20, IRNA – Deputy Commander of Navy of the Islamic Revolution Guards Corps Rear-Admiral Ali Reza Tangsiri said on Monday IRGC Navy is responsible to powerfully protect the security of the Persian Gulf and Strait of Hormuz. He said that the new government of President Hassan Rohani has undertaken helm of the Islamic Republic of Iran in light of guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution. In reference to the Constitution of the Islamic Republic of Iran and guidance of Supreme Jurisprudence, Tangsiri said that the current circumstances in the international community indicate lack of wise leadership and to what extent the the Supreme Jurisprudence brought dignity and strength for the Islamic Republic of Iran. The devoted Iranian youth at IRGC Navy powerfully maintain security and dignity of Iranian nation in the Persian Gulf waters as well as the Strait of Hormuz, he said. He said that Iranian Navy is in full combat alert and the enemies do not dare to threaten Iranian territorial integrity./end
