IRIB director visits Japan

TEHRAN,Oct.21(MNA) -- Islamic Republic of Iran Broadcasting (IRIB) Director Ezzatollah Zarghami traveled to Japan on Friday. He met with Japan’s Internal Affairs and Communication Minister Shinji Tarutoko and NHK President Masayuki Matsumoto. The expansion of media and television relations was discussed during the meetings. He also paid a visit to the headquarters of NHK, which is Japan’s national public broadcasting organization. Zarghami’s visit to Japan is part of his tour, which began last week with his trip to Seoul to attend the 49th General Assembly of the Asia-Pacific Broadcasting Union. He also held meetings with a number of South Korean officials and cultural figures during his sojourn in Seoul.
