Israel Violates UN Norms: Indian Religious Scholar

New Delhi, Nov 10, IRNA – Downplaying Israel’s threats to Islamic Republic of Iran, an Indian religious scholar Friday said that Israel is violating the norms of UN resolutions. In his Friday sermon, the Shahi Imam of Fatehpuri Masjid, Delhi, Maulana Mufti M. Mukarram Ahmed said that as no concrete evidence has been presented that Iran is engaged in producing nuclear weapons so far, the allegations against the peaceful country is absolutely baseless. Such a move is the clear violation of the norms of the UN resolutions, he added. He appealed UN, US and other world powers to stop Israel from pushing the world into darkness especially the Middle East. Condemning the hegemonic policies of Israel, the scholar further noted that on the other hand Israel is committing crimes against the innocent Palestinians since long but no action has been taken against it. “The silence of the UN is encouraging Israel to adopt the policies which will be destructive for the humanity across the world," he reiterated.
