Istanbul to host photo exhibition depicting Khojaly genocide

Azerbaijan, Baku, Feb.14 / Trend M.Aliyev / A photo exhibition marking the Khojaly genocide will be held in a central square in Istanbul on Feb.17-19. The exhibition will be held within the campaign "Justice for Khojaly" with the support of Azerbaijani Students, the Alumni International Forum and the Youth Forum of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The exhibition will be deployed on the square and the Taksim metro station. Photographs presented at the exhibition are designed to depict the tragedy of the the town's population. The town was erased from the face of the earth in the course of a single night, while hundreds were killed. During the exhibition, residents and guests to Istanbul will receive thousands of books and booklets about this tragedy. More than 600 people were killed, including 63 children, 106 women and 70 old men. Some 487 civilians were disabled during the genocide.
