It is a must to discuss global economy following recent developments in Middle East and North Africa, says Erdogan

ISTANBUL (A.A) - November 17, 2011 - Turkish Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan said Thursday that it was a must to discuss global economy and the security of energy supplies following the recent developments in the Middle East and North Africa. Speaking at the Third Black Sea Energy and Economic Forum organized by the Atlantic Council, Erdogan said that the security of energy supplies, national security, economic independence, sustainable development and the society's tranquility all had influence on each other. As a bridge between regions rich with energy sources and regions that consume these sources, Turkey has assumed an important role in the transfer of such energy sources, Erdogan said.
