Italian Author: Ahmadinejad Foiled US, Zionist Plots In ME

Rome, Aug 25, IRNA – Italian author and journalist Antonellas Richardi said Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad eloquently elaborated on the critical situation in the Middle East and the interventions of the US and its allies in Syria during the recent Mecca summit. In an interview with IRNA, she said President Ahmadinejad focused on the issue to raise awareness in the Muslim world and to highlight the fact that Washington and Zionists are always after creating tension in the Middle East to retain dominance over enormous energy resources in the region. Richardi referred to the alerts made by the Iranian President in the extraordinary OIC summit in Mecca and said she believed what Ahmadinejad said in Mecca was true because Washington statesmen were really seeking to stabilize the Zionist regime through complicated schemes. She said Ahmadinejad truly noted that the enemies of nations are seeking a new Middle East which could, as a unanimous body, meet the illegal demands of western countries. The Italian writer said the world public opinion as well as intellectuals strongly believe that the US has plans for all regional countries. Stressing that Washington and its Zionist allies are in favor of policies to sow discord among nations to consolidate its dominance over the world, she regretted that there are cases of divergences among Islamic countries./end
