Italians Welcome Persian Language Teaching Course

Tehran, Oct 15, IRNA - The 35th Persian language and literature teaching course was launched in Rome, Italy on October 14. Over 30 Italian learners are taking part in the course which is being held at elementary, intermediate and advanced levels.The course is being taught by Bianca Maria. Its main focus is on improving the learners’ communicative abilities. They will receive a certificate after participating in the 12-session course and taking the final exam. Speaking at the opening session of the course, Qorban-Ali Pourmarjan, the Iranian cultural attaché to Italy, thanked Maria’s effective efforts in previous courses. He stressed that Italian learners are required to double their efforts to learn Persian language better and know its literary concepts. “Persian language is full of literary, mystic and ethical treasures. The more the learners master the language, the more they will be able to benefit from them.” The course are being held at the premises of Iran’s cultural office. Persian language and literature is taught at Sapienza, Naples, Bologna, Venice and Viterbo universities in Italy. Last year, Iran’s cultural office in Rome held the first course of teaching Persian language in Cagliari and Roma Tre universities. The second course is to be held at Cagliari University in the near future. Also, Torino’s university plans to hold a Persian language and literature course for the first time./end
