Jaberi Ansari, de Mistura discuss Syrian crisis in Tehran

TEHRAN, Apr. 22 (MNA) – UN Special Envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura, who is visiting Tehran met with Hossein Jaberi Ansari, the Special Assistant to Iran’s Foreign Minister in Political Affairs, on Saturday. Hossein Jaberi Ansari, the Special Assistant to Iran’s Foreign Minister in Political Affairs, and UN Special Envoy on Syria Staffan de Mistura met in Tehran on Saturday before noon. The two diplomats discussed the ways to put an end to the ongoing crisis in Syria and continued their meeting with the lunch banquet hosted by Jaberi Ansari in the honor of the visiting UN envoy. The UN envoy arrived in Tehran to meets Iran’s top envoy to Syrian talks and Astana Process Jaberi Ansari in his chain of visits to guarantor states of the Astana Peace Process and before arriving in Tehran he had stopped in Moscow and Ankara. They also conferred on the ways to put into practice the brokered agreements through Astana Process and Sochi Congress, in addition to mulling over cooperation between Iran and UN to end the crisis in Syria and restore peace and stability in this country.
