Jaberi Ansari off to S Africa for political talks

TEHRAN, Sep. 28 (MNA) – Iran’s Deputy FM left for South Africa's biggest city Johannesburg early Wed. to attend the 7th session of Iran-South Africa’s Joint Political Committee. Hossein Jaberi Ansari, Iranian Deputy Foreign Minister for Arab-African Affairs, will stay in Johannesburg for two days during which he is slated to attend the follow-up committee’s meeting on the two countries’ relations, and hold talks with South African Foreign Minister Maite Nkoana-Mashabane and her deputy on expansion of cooperation and issues of mutual interest. Meeting with Iranian expatriates and attending a meeting with elites and local media persons are also on his agenda. Prior to Jaberi Ansari’s visit, directors of a number of ministries and economic institutes of Iran traveled to South Africa to hold talks with the officials. The results of their negotiations will be finalized in the follow-up committee’s meeting where the deputy foreign minister is scheduled to attend.
