Jack Straw Not Invited To Tehran: Official

Tehran, July 27, IRNA – An advisor to President-elect Hassan Rohani said the president-elects office has not sent any invitation letter to Mr. Jack Straw, former British Foreign Minister, to attend Rohanis oath-taking ceremony. Mohammad Reza Sadeq, reacting to news disseminated by certian western media on Iran’s official invitation for Mr. Straw to attend the ceremony, told IRNA on Friday that the present-elect has not sent directly any invitation letters to officials. Sadeq reminded that sending invitation letters to officials of other countries is a duty of the Foreign Ministry. He said that as Foreign Ministry Spokesman had recently said in a press conference, all countries except the USA and the Zionist regime, have been invited to the ceremony. President-elects oath-taking ceremony will take place on August 4, 2013 here./end
