Jalili Calls For Regional Co-op To Stop Spread Of Insecurity

Beirut, Aug 7, IRNA – Visiting Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council Saeed Jalili called Monday evening for all-out cooperation among regional states to stop spread of insecurity throughout the region. In a meeting with Lebanese Prime Minister Najib Mikati, the Iranian official said the Zionist regime and its allies are angry with continuous victories made by the Islamic resistance movement in the past two decades. Therefore, Jalili added, they are seeking to fan the flames of sectarian wars in the region to stop triumph of Muslims. Jalili stressed the need for further consultations among regional states to vigilantly confront plots of the Zionist regime. Referring to Tehran-Beirut relations, he said promotion of all-out bilateral ties would serve interests of both sides.
