Japan proposes supplying coal from major mines of Mongolia

Ulaanbaatar /MONTSAME/ Ministry of Energy reports a Japan’s company presented a proposal to purchase coal from Mongolia. Energy Minister of Mongolia T.Gantulga received a delegation, headed by Governor of Shizuoka Prefecture of Japan, Mr Kawakatsu Heita on August 8. The latter highlighted that the framework for capacity building training for energy specialists have commenced with success in the margin of the bilateral ties. “We propose to supply coal from Mongolia”, he said and added that the coals from Sharyn Gol, Alagtolgoi and Shivee Ovoo mines of Mongolia have shown compatibility for the operations of their power plants.
