Japan Ready To Help Iran Build N-power Plants

Tehran, Nov 11, IRNA – Deputy Spokesman for Japanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs Mizushima Koichi said on Sunday that Japan is ready to help Iran build nuclear power plant. Koichi told a press conference that once Iranˈs nuclear issue is settled and concerns are removed, Japan is ready to help Iran build nuclear power plants if the Iranian party so requests. He noted that Iran and Japan have traditional and very good relations and Tokyo as a key regional country attaches special significance to relations with Tehran. He referred to talks between Iran and Japan for removal of problems related to Orumiyeh Lake and said Japan is ready for cooperation to settle the environment problem and a team of Japanese experts will travel to Iran for this purpose. Pointing to Saturday meetings of Japanese Foreign Minister with the Iranian President and Majlis speaker in Tehran, terming the meetings as very good and constructive. Koichi said Japanese Foreign Minister was scheduled tol hold talks with his Iranian counterpart on regional and international issues including Iranˈs nuclear case, Sunday evening./end
